The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has accused Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, of a plot to assassinate the union's president, Joe Ajaero. The NLC claims that Uzodinma invaded Ajaero's hometown in Owerri, Imo State, with the intention of carrying out the attack.
This alleged attack follows Ajaero's arrest during a union protest, which left him brutally injured. The police, however, denied the allegations of brutality, stating that they took Ajaero into preventive custody due to security concerns which was a blatant lie because the truth is not far fetched.
Governor Uzodinma dismissed these claims as politically motivated as usual just like he did with IKENGA UGOCHINYERE, suggesting they were aimed at damaging his chances of re-election as Imo governor. But to the blind, everything was obviously clear that the NLC President provoked the tyrannical Hope Uzodimma by his "unapproved" peaceful protest.
