Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, Shut down the Umuchieze cattle market in the Umunneochi Local Government Area due to a disturbing discovery.

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, announced the closure of the Umuchieze cattle market in the Umunneochi Local Government Area due to a disturbing discovery. Within two days, the government recovered about 80 corpses and 20 headless bodies in the area. Governor Otti expressed his commitment to ending criminal activities in the state, emphasizing that the government would not tolerate instability. Electronic equipment was installed for better surveillance. Ransom payments for kidnapping victims were traced to the market, prompting an investigation.
Various crimes like gunrunning, drug sales, and prostitution were prevalent there, leading the government to convert the livestock market into a general one.

Governor Otti clarified that the actions were not directed at any specific community, as they couldn't determine the identity of the discovered remains.

Initial misinformation sparked tensions, but discussions led to a resolution with a northern group retracting a quit notice issued to Igbo residents in the North. Investigations into the perpetrators of these disturbing findings are ongoing.

Be polite and apply decorum

  1. For the fact that Otti is working well at this point does not mean he is for Biafrans
